When we are struck with feelings of betrayal the depth of emotions are indescribable. The hurt can feel so overwhelming we are left to wonder if the pain will ever subside. Its impact changes who we are at a fundamental level and we are not the same person in the wake of the destruction it renders. Threatening our ability to trust our instincts as well as the capacity to ever get close to anyone again.

When betrayal occurs our beliefs in others and the world around us crumbles. Leaving us in a state of confusion about our relationships with others and our ability to trust ourselves.

Betrayal leaves us broken and alone with no foreseeable repreve on the horizon.

Those who betray us taking with them our confidence, secrets, and belief in love.
